A soul cries out

Smiles of welcome

are gone

compassion

withdrawn

Behind a worn wall

a view

of only eyes

no faces

Rectangles with design

or solid color

all patterns of submission

A conformity that screams

division, separation, isolation

these now rule the day

You are not whole

You are not well

You are to be avoided

You may think otherwise

with false sense of security

resting beneath your eyes

Smothering, suffocating

bordering asphyxiation

heralding in

controlled oppression
